With Richard Fahey's stable back among the winners, Willjojo is taken to score in a moderate opener, with Estihlal and Lord Baskerville rated the main dangers. The selection ran with promise on her reappearance over five furlongs at Catterick in March, before the stable was shut down with the herpes virus, and, having shown that she stays six furlongs last term, holds every chance today. Lord Baskerville ran better over the minimum at Hamilton earlier this month but is not certain to appreciate the longer trip today and a bigger threat may come from Estihlal. Ed Dunlop's filly is less exposed than most and, with the form of her race at Salisbury behind Bridgewater Boys having worked out well, has to be respected. Shinko Femme is well treated judged by official BHB ratings but has given little sign of encouragement of late, while Boris The Spider may want a softer surface to show his best form. John Best's Joey Perhaps is interesting dropped in distance and is another worthy of a mention but the vote goes to Willjojo.
