Verdict
Mary Reveley's Konker confirmed his current well-being at Wetherby recently and, along with Radar who ran Jonjo O'Neill's Claude Greengrass to three lengths over course and distance on his recent return, has to be respected but we prefer to side with another O'Neill inmate The Indispensable. The selection has hardly set the world alight since coming over from Ireland but showed enough on his reappearance when a well held second to the useful Be Fair to suggest that he is well enough treated back in a handicap. The stable's horses can do little wrong at present and, at the forecast odds, The Indispensable gets the vote. Peter Monteith's Alam (sixth) is strictly held by Radar (second), Hollows Mill (third) and Needwood Spirit (fourth) on running at Carlisle but is entitled to improve for what was his first outing of the season. Bushido representing the in-form stable of Sue Smith is another worthy of a mention but preference is for The Indispensable.
