Verdict
John Kirkup scored over course and distance this month and should make a good fist of defying his penalty but that victory was achieved on soft ground and it remains to be seen if he's as effective on a quicker terrain. Tough Remedy, only been narrowly beaten on both starts, was arguably unlucky not to get even closer last time while Tember can only improve on a promising Redcar debut. All four newcomers represent strong northern yards and need monitoring in the market but Mick Channon's AQUADABRA receives the vote. She's performed consistently well in decent juvenile company and stays further than this, always an advantage on this testing track.
