Verdict

This consolation race is arguably more difficult than the main event but JACBEQUICK has been running consistently well of late under regular partner Josh Doyle, most recently when a close third in a decent Ripon handicap. He should be in the mix here down to a mark of 80 with conditions to suit. Destroyer has gone well on both starts in large-field York handicaps since joining Tom Tate and another solid performance is expected while recent winners Showboating, Zeshov and Frank Bridge are all respected candidates. Madroos is more inexperienced than his opposition but could go well if settling properly in this large field.
