    Verdict

Dubai Station was doing his best work in the closing stages over 6f at Nottingham and will need to be more quickly away over this shorter trip. HURSTWOOD also hit top gear too late over today’s distance at Ripon on his debut but made up plenty of late ground to finish third and a bold bid is expected here. Birdie Bowers made a promising start at Beverley but seemed to have little excuse for a poor effort at Thirsk last time while stablemate Unifier and Iffraaz, a half-brother to five winners, look best of the newcomers.
