Verdict

MOON MELODY has been performing well of late and is taken to land this seller with both Longdale and Vic's World worth recognition. The selection caught the eye when finishing second to Changing Lanes at Wetherby last time out. He is not an easy horse to win with but he did score here over course and distance last August; his only career success to date. This drop back into selling company will be in his favour and at his best he can go close off his current mark. Longdale had a couple of outings over fences before finishing a good second in a similar contest at Hexham last time out. He is five pounds worse off for his troubles but is respected nonetheless. Vic's World travels a long way from his Devonshire base and has shown ability in better races than this, she is only lightly raced and is potentially well treated so any market support should be noted. This is a very competitive race full of moderate horses but Moon Melody gets the vote as he has course and distance winning form to his name and is running off a fair mark.
