Snake Charmer had the race at his mercy when he stumbled and came down after jumping the last at Newton Abbot earlier this month. His reward is an 8lb higher mark and it remains to be seen if that has affected his confidence though he should beat Englishtown, who was pulled up when tailed off in that contest. Painted Sky won over 2m4f at Worcester last month but just as interesting is WINTER ALCHEMY. He got off the mark at Perth last month and clearly enjoys a test of stamina. His stable is going well at present so the six-year-old gets the nod. Vallani is fairly consistent but lacks a recent outing.
