Verdict

Martha's Benefit and River Icon have already won twice around here. The former is on a hat-trick but the latter is eased in grade and makes more appeal under a 7lb claimer. RUBENESQUE appears to be coming on in leaps and bounds and won over 2m1f on the Flat at Carlisle after getting off the mark in a maiden here in June. The handicapper has taken no chances but there should be more to come from Tristan Davidson’s recent acquisition. Ten Trees and Tickerty Boo are both respected but Chantara Rose needs to drop a few pounds.
