In depth
Verdict
GOLDAN JESS arrives in tremendous form having scored over hurdles at Market Rasen in May and gained a very easy victory on the Flat at Ayr two weeks ago. He's shot up the weights but is going so well that he may be able to defy the extra burden. Auberge scored twice at Hexham in June on good ground and may have found the easier conditions against her when just beaten on a hat-trick mission there the same month. She should go well from this mark while Up For An Oscar looked progressive when landing a Southwell maiden at around this trip and would probably have finished runner-up back there but for falling at the last. What A Steel hasn't been in the best of form but is just 2lb higher than when last successful on this track so don't be surprised if a better effort comes now.
