In depth
Verdict
Classic Event gets the confident vote with Galero and Rouge Et Noir rating the main dangers. The selection was a good second behind Regal Setting last time out and although he is giving weight away to most of his rivals he will be hard to beat under conditions that suit. Galero rates the main danger as he hails from top connections but he was well beaten on his debut when unplaced behind Caraman having run very green and he may need more time so he is passed over on this occasion. Rouge Et Noir is another worthy of respect on his best form but form but he was disappointing last time out and is very one paced at the end of his races so can not be backed with any confidence.Of the remainder Pendle Forest was a fair sort in bumpers but has failed to progress over hurdles as expected and for the winner we return to Classic Event whose form looks rock solid.
