In depth

Verdict

Jonniesofa carries a double penalty but scored with plenty in hand at Newcastle last time and is still improving. Delusionofgrandeur and Mahler And Me have also won novice hurdles with the latter preferred as he beat subsequent winner Another Mattie at Newcastle. You Say What, Tickenwolf and Nautical Nitwit are all maiden hurdle winners with the former making most appeal on last month's success at Exeter but WILD WEST WIND (NAP) gets another chance. Tom George's charge was still in contention when making a mess of the last obstacle at Chepstow on his hurdling bow and can take advantage of today's weight concession if posting a clear round.
