In depth
Verdict
As you might expect, this is not the strongest race but, they all take winning, and from a shortlist containing Prince Ajdal, In Good Faith, Ball Games and Scoop Thirty Nine, we will opt for Prince Ajdal. He might be fairly modest but the selection generally gives his all and certainly has form enough to play a leading part in this race if at or near his best. In Good Faith was second when running off today's mark in an amateur event in May, although that was over nearly three miles. However, he is effective at this trip and is entitled to respect. As is Scoop Thirty Nine, who holds claims based on his February/ March form, and whose only previous win has come at this level. Ball Games has yet to win a race but runs from a mark that gives him solid place claims, while Pure Brazil, who has shown that this is his type of level, is another with possibilities. Overall, though, we prefer the look of Prince Ajdal, and he is the selection.
