Verdict
This maiden looks a two horse race between Tesslam and DHERGAAM and we just go for the last mentioned on the proviso this step up in trip will be more suited than Tesslam's step down while Grand Stitch looks best of the remaining runners. There's actually very little to choose between the leading players but the pick has looked a little lacking for pace over sprint trips and after a few placed efforts over those should be suited by this longer test. Tesslam only just missed out by a head over this trip last year but his reappearance run when taking on nine furlongs at Epsom pointed to the fact he might be better over further. He has every chance if retaining his pace back over this distance and he will be going close. Grand Stitch doesn't have much to find on the official ratings and was only just held on his first start this season. We should expect more with him also likely to progress now upped to this far. Anything from Richard Fahey's stable should be respected and Baraconti has a chance if he's trained on but in what looks a match Dhergaam just lands the nod.
