In depth
Verdict
Another race with more quantity than quality and the TEAMtalk selection is Another Dude. The gelding from the bang-in form Howard Johnson yard won well over course and distance last time out beating Little Big Horse by an easy three lengths and if he reproduces that effort he will be hard to oppose despite top weight. Tickton Flyer rates the main danger he is a bumper and hurdle winner but he looks a stayer in the making and will be seen to even better effect over a longer trip. Florida Rain showed some ability in fair bumpers last season and he will strip a lot fitter today than he did for his debut at Wetherby last time out and he is one to watch closely in the market. Frankie Anson is from the Mick Easterby yard but this bumper winner looks the second string on jockey bookings. Family Venture was a fair third at Carlisle last time out behind Royal Emperor but the step down in trip is not sure to suit. Of the others Dixcart Valley is a well bred Carlingford Castle gelding and is one to keep an eye on with a view to the future.
