In depth

Verdict

There shouldn't be much between Let It Be and Mr Crystal judged by their run here last month when Keith Reveley's mare obliged by a comfortable length-and-a-half and both have to be respected but it is hard to get away from BENHEGO, who gets the vote. Stuart Williams probably has his team in better form now than at any other time this season and having won a staying handicap at Great Leighs with any amount in hand last month, he looks to have an obvious chance back on turf despite a 6lb penalty. Trew Style ran better at Salisbury last time and makes more appeal than Mark Brisbourne's Merrymaker, who invariably finds at least one too good. George Moore's Bijou Dan has been in good heart of late but may now be in the grip of the handicapper.
