Sonic may well have won at Musselburgh last month had he not come down when in front but that probably wasn’t the strongest of heats given the odds-on favourite refused to race. Donald McCain also runs Ballasalla, likely to improve for the switch to hurdles. Planet Nine, now tried in headgear, and Secret Melody are other possible improvers but HEAR NO EVIL should find this more to his liking after finishing third in a Class 2 contest at Newcastle last month. He’d won earlier at Aintree on his debut over hurdles.
