    Verdict

A tough contest and GREEK SECRET is our idea of the most likely victor with Paddy Bear and Ingleby Princess holding obvious claims. The six-year-old appears not to have taken to cheek pieces and these have been left off this afternoon. Admittedly he is a horse for whom everything has to drop correctly but if he can secure a good pitch early, he has the late speed to overhaul the front runners. Paddy Bear is sure to be popular as a rare Richard Fahey runner in the grade. The figures suggest he should win but punters have to overlook a lamentable run last time out. Ingleby Princess should have won more than the four races that she has. The mare has become disappointing and the drop to plating company may just reawaken her zest for the game. Bentley appears to have been around forever and would have made far more appeal on an artificial surface. Mandielieu has yet to score since landing a Brighton handicap for Willie Haggas. The percentage call appears that of opposition. Rainbow Bay is respected as a course and distance scorer. Sea Salt obliged in a claimer for Richard Fahey though has failed to reach those heights with new connections. This is a bad race but they all have to have a winner and it is Greek Secret that receives our nomination.
