        Verdict

        The finale looks a tight affair but can go to Socialise who can defy while Killala and Scraps can slug it out for a place as well. Socialise caught the eye on her Newmarket debut last autumn, finishing a close third in a decent maiden and on the strength of that, went off market leader for a run of the mill contest at Southwell that she was fully expected to win. However, she hung badly to the left and and still looked in need of the experience so was put away until now. Related to Cheveley Park winner Regal Rose on the dam's side, William Haggas's filly has been working well enough to make a winning return by all accounts and can take this before meeting stronger opposition. Barry Hills has his team in good shape at present and Dancing Nelly will be expected to improve on her two runs this term, at Wolverhampton and Salisbury. On the latter occasion she appreciated the drop back in trip though and is not guaranteed to improve back over seven furlongs. Killala looks to be going the right way judged on her effort behind the useful Dazzling Bay at Ripon last month and although made to look one-paced there, can make her presence felt. Scraps, a stablemate of the aforementioned Dazzling Bay, has improved for the step up to seven furlongs, but may need even further, and we return to Socialise as the answer.
