Verdict

Just 5lb separates the entire field with none of them in especially good nick with the possible exception of Chives, who didn't go too badly last time at Doncaster after a Beverley success over this trip. David O'Meara will surely want to get a win out of Coin Broker for such powerful connections and now steps the son of Montjeu up to this trip for the first time. He must go well in such an ordinary affair but STOUT CORTEZ gets the vote. He's hardly one of the leading lights for the in-form Mark Johnston and was not at his best last time despite being hampered late on. However, some of his form reads pretty well here and he's likely to set out to make all in the style of so many from his yard. Hopefully, Joe Fanning will be allowed a soft lead to help dictate matters and post a first success for the son of Hernando.
