Verdict
Thatcherite stormed home late and fast to grab the spoils at Beverley over the flying five and it will make interesting viewing to see if he can repeat the dose over the additional furlong on a turning track. Many of his opponents are running well without winning and Lady Frances is one to catch the eye off bottomweight after travelling well last time for most of the trip when third over 7f at Lingfield. The drop to 6f looks a logical move and another strong effort from the front is anticipated. However, GO FAR is an interesting contender for Alan Bailey, having been plum in the firing line on his last three starts after a quiet start to the campaign. Beaten just over 2l in Class 3 company at Newmarket last time, he looks nicely treated off an unchanged mark of 78 and all three career successes have come at this trip. Powerful Presence, runner-up under a big weight on soft ground at Ayr on Monday, is another to consider.
