      Verdict

      Runners from Sir Michael Stoute's yard are infrequent visitors to Catterick and the hint is taken with Regina, who is preferred to Bond City and Born For Dancing as the likeliest type to win the opener. The daughter of Green Desert will find this much easier than the Listed race she contested at Salisbury last month, where she held her own in finishing in mid-division in some useful company. None of today's rivals have raced against that caliber of opposition and she will appreciate the ease in grade today. Bond City arrives here on the back of a solid performance at Wolverhampton, where he had more in hand than the winning margin would have you believe. However, he does have a little bit more to find here and will do well to concede 9lb to the selection. Born For Dancing is still a maiden and as such gets a handy allowance at the weights. Even so, she also has something to prove with the likes of Regina in the field and like the rest, may have to concede second best to the raider sent up by the Newmarket maestro.
