Verdict

Shawaamekh has placed twice off higher marks this season and won on soft going at York last year. Blinkered for the first time, he would have a big chance if a high draw doesn’t prove a disadvantage. Ey Up Its Mick has been racing over sprint distances and still looks to be in the handicapper’s grip, though has won over this trip in the past. Alnasherat has never raced on going like this but Donnelly's Rainbow has plenty of form on soft ground and arrives in good form. Three Saints Bay was racing in much better company when second off this mark at Musselburgh but may struggle to get to the front from stall 11 with another front-runner, DAWN BREAKING, much better drawn. The latter only just prevailed in a Class 5 at Pontefract 12 days ago and is 3lb higher but he is still receiving weight all round and is a real mud-lark so preferred to Ayr winner Erich Bloch.
