In depth

Verdict

Astra Hall complicates matters as she was due to run at Lingfield yesterday and would be penalised if successful. She won easily over track and trip last month with Moon Over Rio well beaten but a chance is taken on the returning CARPE VITA in this. The latter won at Redcar before ending last season with a second at Ayr in September and further progress is expected this year. Cartier has been off the track since August and steps up in trip for her reappearance while Phantom Dancer also attempts 1m4f for the first time on her handicap debut.
