Verdict

FLASH FIRE attempted to make all in his first three starts and succeeded at Nottingham last month. He couldn't match the pace of the in-form Johnny B Goode at Goodwood last time but was beaten less than a length and he's been left on the same mark. He faces a stiff task attempting to concede Fast Charlie 17lb, which includes his rider's claim, as Ann Duffield's charge showed real speed at Chester, while Little Belter is another likely to give him a stern examination as he looks certain to be suited by this trip after staying on at Ripon. Madamoiselle Bond is another stepping up in distance who should do better but Pipe Bomb appeared to resent blinkers at Kempton though will need to show major improvement.
