In depth

Verdict

Bright Prospect didn't stay 4m at Kelso but his previous run when a very close third at Wetherby puts him right in the picture. Gold Patrol won a point-to-point in June but his form under Rules is moderate to say the least though he won't mind the ground. Valleyofmilan is inconsistent though was taking on much better class when well beaten at Kelso last time and is back on the same mark as when successful at Perth in August. ACHILL ROAD BOY had been threatening to win before doing so at Kelso where he scored easily though two of his four rivals departed. He has a 7lb penalty to carry but gets the nod in a tricky little race.
