Cool Echo took 21 attempts to get her head in front but finally did so over today’s trip at Kempton and is 6lb higher. Swiss Cross went close here a week ago and Athassel was narrowly beaten over track and trip on his penultimate start. Catapult’s improved recent efforts came at Southwell while Locommotion went close on a couple of occasions before disappointing when sent off favourite here last time. BROGANS BAY posted a better effort on her return to action and handicap debut. More is needed but she’ll be sharper today and has lots of scope for further progress.
