A decent contest here, but it should lie between Inchberry and Choral Chimes. The former, trained by Gerard Butler, chased home the smart Battle Chant in listed company on her last appearance and had earlier scored well in maiden company. This trip should suit her ideally, and she is preferred to Choral Chimes, who was a runaway winner of a moderate race at Folkestone on his reappearance and is certainly capable of improving. Shanty Star shaped with plenty of promise when winning his maiden at Pontefract last year, but Mark Johnston's horses haven't really started to fire yet, and he may just need the run on his reappearance, while the Barry Hills-trained Essnaad showed some promise in his twojuvenile starts and is one to note for the future, as he will be qualified for handicaps after this run.
