    Verdict

In a competitive race, the lightly-raced Alfred Sisley would have to go on the shortlist. Paul Cole's charge looked very game when winning at Warwick on his latest start and is open to improvement. The booking of Jamie Spencer catches the eye for Wensleydale Lad, who has won on the all-weather this year and cannot be ruled out on his return to turf. Tuscan Treaty may struggle to follow up her win in a seller at Folkestone on this new mark, but Tagula Blue would have claims on his handicap debut and is not one to dismiss entirely. However, the selection here goes to Summer Special. Still a maiden, he has put in some good performances in defeat and finished fifth to Mr Malarkey at Thirsk on his latest start. The winner has since followed up with an easy handicap win off a mark of 70, so the handicapper has given Fergal Lynch's mount a real chance in dropping him to a mark of 67, and he is fancied to take advantage here.
