Verdict
A poor start to proceedings where we will look to experience to prove invaluable and therefore select Syrup as the potential winner, with In The Moment a potential improver and Ykikamoocow and Keiser Blue to emerge as the best newcomers. Syrup has had a couple of runs that, in context, were pretty useful, not being disgraced on either occasion and David Evans' filly is 2lb better off with In The Moment, who she finished around five lengths ahead of at Bath last time, so can win that particular battle again and score. Improvement is expected from In the Moment, while we should learn a bit about the debutantes. Best of those may prove to be Geoff Harker's Ykikamoocow, who is related to winners over similar trips as juveniles, while Patrick Haslam's Keiser Blue also has winning family connections though has clearly not been showing a huge amount to be entered at this level first time. Not a race to dwell on and Syrup can be a sweet start for punters.
