In depth

Verdict

A modest opener and we select Ben Bacchus to see off Mixing and Classic Blue. Although far from the most frequent of winners, Ben Bacchus is an adequate enough conveyance around Kempton Park and having demonstrated form on track and trip, he rates as the percentage call in a very moderate heat. Mixing seems to go well for Kirsty Milczarek. He appears to reserve his best for this track and is appropriate placepot material. Classic Blue does at least bring winning form to the table. A winner over 10 furlongs last time, she has ran with a degree of credit over slightly further. Bold Phoenix has to be of some interest now stepped up in trip. Particularly with the booking of Jamie Spencer for Andy Stringer's outfit. Ardglass is still a maiden but has interesting bits and pieces of placed form to his credit. Artzola has struggled off marks of this nature in the past. Dubai Shadow takes a drop in class and is noted in the market. Irish Ballad steps down in trip having gone close over two miles. A tough race for punters to unravel and Ben Bacchus is put up as the most token of selections.
