      Verdict

TOTALIZE has won on heavy ground on the Flat and he achieved a mark of 144 over hurdles after winning a Class 2 handicap at Market Rasen. That was back in the summer of 2016 so his fitness has to be taken on trust. However, he looks to have been found a nice opportunity for a winning start though Kelka, who has a more conventional pedigree for chasing, looks a threat with her allowance. Malcolm Jefferson's mare won a heavy-ground handicap over hurdles at Nottingham in March and though rated 14lb lower than the selection she's receiving half of that here. Winning bumper and hurdler Applaus pulled up on his chasing debut and was fortunate to finish runner-up at Newcastle while the remainder will probably need mishaps if they are to get involved.
