        Verdict

        This represents a drop in class for Mana d'Argent, who is on a long losing run. He still looks a shade high in the weights at present, but an improved showing is expected. Fiori, fit from hurdling, has to put behind him a poor run at the Lincoln meeting and although he has won when the ground is on the fast side, he seems better suited to some give underfoot. Known Maneuver, impressed when winning at Nottingham in a fast time and could well defy his penalty. Bollin Nellie, from a yard in form, needs to put a poor run last time behind her, while the versatile Fatehalkhair may find this trip on the sharp side. Party Ploy, needed his first outing last year, so a chance is taken with Double Blade, who showed he is no back number when runner-up behind Al Azhar in a big field at Ripon last time.
