    Verdict

A return to this trip may suit the evergreen American Cousin, already twice a winner for todays pilot, but he could have been better drawn, while his stablemate Blackheath, rated in the mid 90s as a 4-year-old would pick these up and carry them at his best. Shirley Not, yet to win beyond the minimum trip, is well drawn and will have the benefit of George Baker. Returning from a break, Silken Wings may make them all go. The bay filly will have her optimum conditions for the first time since winning at Windsor last June.
