In depth

Verdict

All nine are respected in a wide-open affair in which Erich Bloch and Lezardrieux appeal as the most likely pacesetters. Both give the impression of being ready to strike but they may possibly set the race up for a late closer and course and distance winner, LADY NECTAR, is taken to pick up the pieces late on if getting a clear run through. She's equipped with first-time cheekpieces and the Duffield yard has found some useful form over the past ten days or so. Praxeology is respected but has a 5lb penalty to deal with and the consistent pair of Jill Rose and Obee Jo, both course and distance scorers, could prove more threatening from the foot of the weights.
