Verdict
QUERCUS looks to land an August and Catterick hat-trick for the Duffield team and is hard to oppose despite his 5lb penalty. Shane Gray has partnered him to victory on both occasions and is in the plate once again. The majority of his rivals are not in the best of form, with the exception of the two at the head of the weights who appear to pose the leading threats. Rebel Redemption is seen as the main danger due to his reliability at this level and the fact he arrives in good heart, having finished close up in fair contests the last twice. Course and distance winner Signore Piccolo is into the veteran stage but holds his form well and looks a decent each-way option.
