In depth

Loch Linnhe ran so well when just beaten at Newcastle that he started favourite at Market Rasen three weeks ago but fluffed his lines after leading to the last. Brian Hughes takes over from a conditional on Boruma, who ran well on his penultimate start here in December but poorly on a return visit a few days later. Aptly Put has yet to win but ran his best race to date when stepping up in trip at Fakenham last time and this won't take much winning while Let's Get At It scored on soft going at Market Rasen on Boxing Day but was well beaten on much quicker ground on a return visit. IT'S ALL ABOUT ME (NAP) showed her first sign of ability at Hexham in November and continued that progress when an unlucky loser over this track and trip on New Year's Day. Her rider lost an iron after a bad mistake two out but she was only beaten half-a-length at the finish and compensation awaits.

Nobuttaboy (IRE) 50-1 (11-1) Tracked leader until 10th, weakened 13th, pulled up 5 out, at Wetherby 3m hcp (4) sft in Dec.

Boruma (IRE) 7-2 (11-12) Held up in last pair, took keen hold and headway 4th, mistake 4 out, outpaced next, plugged on to take modest 4th after last, no chance with leaders, 4th of 7, 18l behind Nemean Lion (11-4) at Catterick 3m 1f hcp (4) gs in Dec.

Aptly Put (IRE) 3-1fav (11-12) Made most until ridden and headed approaching omitted last, kept on one pace, lost 2nd towards rear, 3rd of 9, 3 3/4l behind Strictlyadancer (10-9) at Fakenham 2m 7f hcp (4) gd in Jan.

Let's Get At It (IRE) 9-2 (11-4) Towards rear, dropped to last 6th, no chance when blundered 2 out, tailed off, 7th of 8, dist behind Weakfield (11-7) at Market Rasen 2m 7f hcp (4) gd in Jan.

The Sting (IRE) 50-1 (11-2) Not fluent, held up in touch, lost place 5th, behind and struggling 3 out, soon weakened, 5th of 6, 27 1/4l behind Hogan's Height (11-2) at Catterick 2m 3f (4) gd in Jan.

It's All About Me (IRE) 10-1 (10-8) Held up in touch, headway after 3 out, led narrowly when blundered and good recovery by rider next, rider continued without irons, ridden and headed flat, kept on, just held, 2nd of 9, 1/2l behind Inchcolm (11-12) at Catterick 3m 1f hcp (5) gd in Jan.
