In depth
Verdict
A field large in numbers, but one that can be narrowed down to a handful of runners. Wainwright is taken to score as he was a good second behind The Privateer in a maiden at Doncaster last time. This represents a drop in class and if he reproduces that effort he will be hard to beat. Zietzig would rate the main danger on his best form but that has been with cut in the ground and he was very disappointing last time out. Lion's Diomane is also worthy of consideration despite top weight. He is a perennial front runner, but he would do well to lead from stall nine on this tight track and for that reason he is opposed. Sharp Gossip finished in mid-division in a much better race last time out but he to will do well to play a part in the finish from stall 17. Null And Void is from a shrewd yard has a good draw and he is proven on the ground and the market may prove the best guide as to what is expected today. Of the remainder Cheeky Girl is taking a drop in class and is another to consider in a wide open affair.
