Verdict

Rain Cap should make a good fist of defying topweight after such a a consistent run of form but STRONSAY is worth chancing. Six furlongs suits nowadays and he's finished close enough the last twice to suggest a race of this nature is within his capabilities. He'll handle the ground too. Deevious Beau is noteworthy for a yard that came right back to form over the weekend and he looks feasibly treated, although both career wins have come on the now defunct Southwell fibresand. He ran well enough on turf last time though to suggest he's a key player now. Point Of Woods, due run in the last at Redcar on Monday, must be considered if turning up here too.
