In depth

Verdict

Rose of York, Verstone and Arctic Cove look the three to concentrate on in this selling handicap hurdle and we will side with Rose Of York to land the prize. This 7-year-old mare chased home Coppermalt at Stratford last time and a reproduction of that effort should suffice on ground that suits. Verstone fell here last time but she ran well enough previously at Cartmel to bring her into contention today. Arctic Cove was well beaten last time but that was a better race than this and the drop in trip should suit. Others worth a mention include Lerida and Errol and they look to have solid place claims. However, Rose Of York makes plenty of appeal and she gets the vote.
