Verdict

NICE SHOT has improved with each outing and made every yard over course and distance last time. He won by nearly three lengths on that occasion and, given three subsequent winners have come out of the race, David Simcock’s charge is the one to beat in this despite a penalty. Commander Han looks the main threat on a close-up fourth at Redcar back in October and is preferred to Lulu Star and the newcomers, who would both need to be above average to figure.
