Journey Of Life sets the standard rated 80 though was still well beaten when runner-up at Lingfield in November ahead of Molivaliente and has a high draw to contend with. Seraphim showed no improvement at Wolverhampton last time and Bawaader has a tough task conceding weight to younger horses so a chance is taken on the returning DARING VENTURE. Roger Varian’s filly made only a modest start when fourth at Newmarket in August but this looks an easier task and she should have progressed during the interim. Desert War could prove best of the newcomers.
