Verdict

A couple of these go handicapping for the first time having faced much stiffer tasks on their reappearances. Boerhan was placed over 1m1f in the Listed Feilden Stakes at Newmarket without threatening and TRAVEL ON could only manage fourth behind Derby entry Bangkok in the Classic Trial at Sandown. But the latter is certain to stay today’s distance having won over a longer trip earlier and may just edge this. Ritchie Valens finished second in a lower grade handicap at Doncaster last month while Fox Premier has plenty to find with Boerhan on last year’s form at Newbury and steps up in trip along with dual 7f winner The Trader.
