In depth

Verdict

PERCY GREEN finished runner-up over 7f at Catterick on his first outing in a nursery. That’s the strongest form on offer in a weak handicap and Karl Burke’s charge gets the vote to go one better. Rain Cap’s earlier success at Redcar came in a seller and he’s struggled in handicaps subsequently while none of the remainder have looked like winning in novice company though Pilsdon Pen finished in front of Mac Mccarthy over 7f here earlier.
