        Verdict

        ALMA LINDA scored over course and distance on last week’s handicap debut. She won a shade cosily on that occasion and a 6lb rise may not be enough to anchor her in this. Regal Banner was beaten only a length when fourth at Kempton though has a bit to prove over this longer trip on earlier evidence and Beautiful Gesture is preferred after placing over the extended mile at Nottingham. Universal Effect may do better back on the all-weather today and the same comment applies to Billie Beane, who won on the Polytrack at Lingfield earlier.
