        Verdict

        Mack The Knife defied a big rise in the weights to land a hat-trick with a victory at Southwell. But he’s been raised a further 9lb and MINSTER is preferred. The latter had to be switched for a clear run over 1m4f at Lingfield and could only manage a close-up fourth but normal luck in-running over this longer trip can see him off the mark. Well Planted is also unexposed and can go close on the back of a second at Newcastle. He makes more appeal than Cool To Be A Cat with Severus Alexander looking best of the remainder on a better effort at Kempton last time.
