Verdict

There’s little in the way of recent form but several have claims if back to their best. That includes Firmament, who went close over a mile when last at this venue while Greatest Journey was beaten only a head over the same trip here back in August. Sea Fox has failed to threaten since landing a double during the summer while SWIFT APPROVAL was last successful back in March when landing a Class 2 contest over today’s distance at Lingfield. On a 4lb lower mark today, Stuart Williams’ charge gets a speculative vote dropping down in class for this. Florencio won an amateurs' race at Laytown in September and Colonel Frank scored off today’s mark at Yarmouth earlier in the year.
