        Verdict

        A competitive handicap with recent 7f winner Race Day upped in class but still preferred to stablemate Leader's Legacy. The latter was well beaten behind HUMBERT (NAP) at Newcastle last time and Hugo Palmer’s tough and consistent gelding looks sure to be thereabouts at the finish again. Constantino wasn’t beaten far behind the selection at Newcastle but has ran poorly since and top weight Salateen make more appeal back in a handicap having gone close in Listed company at Pontefract recently. Poet's Society is capable at this level though hard to catch right but Pactolus is not easily dismissed back on the all-weather.
