In depth

Verdict

Eye of The Storm won a seller at Leicester when the odds-on favourite disappointed and will find this tougher. Alabaster is usually thereabouts at this level but gets little respite from the handicapper as a consequence while Jumping Cats scored over track and trip in October and headgear is added after a couple of moderate efforts so far this year. CARVALAS also won over track and trip in October and came good again over 1m6f here a fortnight ago. Still on a winning mark despite a 3lb rise, John Jenkins’ charge should make another bold. Remember The Man scored over 2m at Lingfield back in 2017 and can race off a lower mark back on the all-weather today
