Verdict
El Ghazwani missed out on a hat-trick when only third over track and trip last month and Shareef Star won in a lower grade at Newcastle before just missing out at Windsor and blinkers are applied today. Lexington Empire is 10lb higher than when successful here in April while Spanish Archer should be winning a handicap this year but is having his first start since September. FAYEZ beat Fennaan three lengths at Ripon before going in again at the same track a fortnight ago. A prolific winner on the all-weather, David O’Meara’s charge may well defy a further 4lb rise back on this surface.
