Verdict
MONGOLIA has improved for joining Mick Appleby’s yard and won with plenty to spare over 1m4f at Southwell recently. She’s placed on Polytrack in the past and this longer trip should also be within her compass. Seventii went close on the Fibresand last time but one win in 36 previous attempts fails to boost confidence while Ignatius and Blue Beirut are preferred to Falls Creek over today’s distance. Midport is the least exposed and could go well on his first outing since May with an apprentice’s allowance making life easier.
